Accessibility statement

Last reviewed October 22, 2026

The short version. Famora is for every family, including families who use screen readers, keyboards, switch controls or larger text. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA on this website, and we are building the iPhone app to work with Apple’s accessibility tools from day one.

Our goal

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We are a small team, so we won’t claim we’ve found everything. We will fix what we find, and we want to hear from you when something gets in your way.

What we do on this site

  • You can use the whole page with a keyboard, and the item you are on always has a visible outline.
  • Text colors are checked against their backgrounds for readable contrast.
  • Headings follow a sensible order, and images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Purely decorative pieces, like the sticky notes at the top of the home page, are hidden from screen readers.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the scrolling animation is turned off and the home page reads as a normal page. Animation that does run on its own stops after a few seconds.
  • The page works on small screens and at large zoom levels, up to 400 percent, without hiding the sign-up form.
  • The interactive demos use real buttons that work with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Known limits

  • Our sign-up form comes from a third-party tool. If it doesn’t work for you, email us and we will add you to the list by hand.
  • The home page has animation and interactive demos. We have not tested them with every combination of screen reader and browser.
  • So far this site has been reviewed by us, not by an outside auditor.

The Famora app

The iPhone app is still in development. We are building it to support VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Dark Mode and Reduce Motion from the start, and we will publish an updated statement for the app before it launches.
